T.Markakis,
T.Markakis - Be Mine Ep
Atmosphere and low-end weight define two distinct sides of deep house.
T.Markakis presents Be Mine EP on Puro Music, pairing “Be Mine” and “Smoov” across two cuts with a shared emphasis on groove and melodic freshness.
“Be Mine” takes the more atmospheric approach, layering pads and ambient textures with piano notes. Prominent hi-hats, shakers and a ’90s-style snare shape the rhythm, while a powerful female soul vocal enters in the drop. “Smoov” places its house groove and thick, few-note bass loop at the forefront, with pads and effects moving across the stereo field behind them throughout the track.
The contrast between an expansive atmosphere and a more insistent bass-led groove gives each track its own identity within the EP.
