In the latest episode of “De Noche y Sin Filtros” with Sebas Ramis, we welcome Javi Bora to look back on his career as a DJ and producer, one of the most solid international trajectories from the island.
Javi Bora began at just 15 years old as a percussionist, a skill that led him to the old Terraza of Space Ibiza in 2003. After transitioning into DJing, he became the official resident of Space Ibiza from 2013 until its closure in 2016, experiencing unique and special moments, such as warming up for legends like Eric Morillo.
His free-spirited vision comes to life through his label Too Many Rules, whose soulful Groovera House sound has gained global attention and support from top artists such as Carl Cox, who once played four of his tracks in a single set. Other key figures in today’s House scene, like Jamie Jones and ANOTR, have also supported the label’s productions.
Regarding the current scene, Javi Bora is a regular at Ibiza’s new temples, performing at Hï Ibiza (for three consecutive years) and UNVRS Ibiza (the former Privilege). This connection traces back to his beginnings, when he also performed at Pachá Mallorca and Pachá Ibiza.
On his world tours, the vibrant energy of Latin America stands out, an enthusiastic, passionate, and bailongo crowd that gives their all on the dance floor from the very first minute. A career built on consistency and a genuine passion for House music.
